After the first postponement of the voting on the new Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) Regulation in November 2022, caused by technical issues in MiCA’s lengthy text, the final voting was expected to take place on February 2023.
Now and for the second time, the European Union announced that MiCA’s final European Parliament voting will take place in April. The new delay relates to technical issues and is most likely caused by the need to translate the almost 400-page file into the 24 E.U. official languages.
We will wait for further developments concerning this regulation that will impact crypto regulation worldwide.
